Mirror, Mirror On The Wall And Uses Of

For a long time in movies, TV programs and through stories we have all heard about the mysterious powers of mirrors! Through spirits being trapped inside to opening portals of deadly magnitude ... but is any of this real? Mirrors can be used for a magnitude of different spells and rituals for sure! From scrying, opening portals, glamours, shadow work, attracting and reflecting. If you are waiting to see something that is portrayed in movies however ... you might be waiting a while!

Scrying... Any reflective surface can be used for scrying not just crystal balls! To use a mirror for scrying first smoke cleanse the space you're working in or visualize a ball of white light surrounding you and ground yourself deep into the earth for protection. Next lower the lights in the room and cast your eyes either over or into the mirror focusing on the third eye let you're mind relax and see what images unfold before you! You can even ask questions and see what comes up! Remember to cleanse you're space after and close the session down by either a ring of a bell or through a few words.

Opening portals, attracting and reflecting ...

Here I have a photo of one of my mirrors. This is just a cheap candle tray mirror I found in B&M for £1! I love doing spell-work on this and find I get great results! I use this specifically to open a portal. Now I'm very careful when doing this and visualize exactly what it is I want and say it out loud three times before I place the candle on-top. I let this portal - which is the mirror reflecting back my candle work and so magnifying my working to burn as long as it needs. When the working is complete I will ask the portal to close after smoke cleansing the area three times and then for me the portal is closed. You can do the same with candle work that is reflecting something away for you or if used for a trapping or pushing away working and the mirror is used to encapsulate a certain aspect I would consider disposing of the mirror away from you're place of residence because lets face it who wants to trap a bad habit or a longing for an ex in a mirror then keep them in the living room!

Shadow workings ..... No don't worry there wont be someone staring back at you like this GIF but have you ever really looked at yourself? Like really really looked at yourself. Shadow work is about spending time with yourself and working with the parts of yourself you would either like to forget or not think about. Shadow work isn't exactly pretty but it gives amazing results and allows yourself to grow and massively connect to the universe. Sit for a while in the still, the quiet and just look at yourself, let your mind wonder and see where it takes you. Ask yourself things you wouldn't normally and answer internally. It may take a while but soon you will find one question roll into another and emotions flare, perhaps frustration - embrace this and ask yourself why are you frustrated?! This is best repeated over a long period of time. I have known people to just cry looking into the mirror over and over until they realize - its okay to cry. Remember to end each session looking into the mirror and telling yourself that you are beautiful, loved and wanted. Remembering to treat each session in short bursts and making sure it does not get too much for yourself.
