Witches bells or protective bells have been used for years on thresholds, in rituals for cleansing and act as a fantastic ward not to let any evil or ill intention pass. So what are they? Bells ringing communicates a message.
The strong and clear, healing tone of a bell can have a few different effects. From banishing unwanted spirits or negative energies to clearing stagnant energy in any space - also to call in positive energies and desired energetic influences throughout the home or space you are working in.

Here I have a bell hanging on my daughters award to add protection to her.
Hanging bells on your doors for example can ward off any negativity straight at the threshold of your home. Where as ringing a bell before a ritual or /and spell work can ward off negative energies before you start, engage or call upon the goddess or elements or be used to seal and end workings.
Bells can even be used to charge crystals or add healing. The bells are associated with the element of air and so can be used to place into spell work signifying that element.

Lets focus on threshold protection.
First tie three bells to string or twine. You can use as many bells as you like but I like to use three to represent mind, body and spirit.
No evil thoughts
No evil intentions from anybody
No evil spirits or entity's
This is all more on a spiritual level so the no evil intentions from anybody will block spell work or hexes cast by others. This is not a protection from physical bodily harm unless you plan to swing your bells at people.
Next tie all three together to signify all three powers coming together and tie to the door knobs front and back of the place you are wanting to protect. Then repeat the words on the photo provided three times or for the amount of bells you are using.
Before doing this I would suggest cleansing your home first top to bottom and back to front. We don't wish to trap what we want outside, inside! Years ago the witches bells used to be referred to as 'devil driver'

I hope that you find time for bells in your practices
